Lisel Nägelsbach is the daughter of Johanna Nägelsbach, Elisabeth Zeileis' sister, and Karl Nägelsbach. She was born in 1908 during the German Empire. The starting picture Waldsee with red figure shows Lisel Nägelsbach. It is one of my favourite pictures by Alfons Zeileis and shows Lisel's personality in a unique way. She is a modern young woman with a wide range of interests who boldly seizes all the opportunities that come her way. She will emigrate to Asia and become fluent in at least 8 languages in the course of her life. She often sews her own clothes and becomes a vegetarian.
